Nothing is “just business.”
Feelings affect everything we do, no matter how calculated or logical we think business is. It’s time to stop trying to separate emotions from business, and instead learn to navigate the emotions around business.
Pretending our feelings don’t affect our performance or our decisions is delusional. But if we work on being aware of our emotions and their influence, we can make smarter choices and accomplish more.
It’s about recognizing feelings, not denying them.
Today, we’ll discuss how to see your feelings, and work with them in a constructive way. Once you realize how logical your business decisions aren’t, you can learn to work within the feelings you have to find a better headspace in which to do your best work.
If this sounds a little Self Help-y, understand that nothing can separate the emotional from the practical. The sooner we realize that, the better off we’ll be.
